Company Continues to Adjust Capacity Levels to Address Current Market Conditions

"Challenging market conditions require efficiency and we continue to make necessary adjustments across all of our plants to ensure we're operating at that level," stated Stuart Leigh, president of Lasco Bathware. "It's important to note that these changes will not affect existing customers; they can continue to expect the quality and customer service they've always known."
The recent realignment will affect the manufacturing of Lasco's FRP product line; all other manufacturing functions at the plant will remain in place. Additionally, the warehouse and distribution center will continue to function, and Lasco will continue to offer installation services to builders in the Southern California market out of the facility.
The adjustment in capacity levels will affect the current workforce. "While this decision is designed to maintain Lasco's current level of production efficiency, we regret it anytime realignments affect our dedicated employees," said Leigh. "Our swift response to market trends, however, can help support our operational strategy and strengthen our future position in the market. That's a significant benefit for our employees."
As regional business conditions improve, the company will look at the possibility of re-activating FRP functions at the plant, as well as opportunities to re-hire employees.
