"We are pleased to present our first Social Responsibility Report, which is intended to inform our stakeholders on Oki Group's current status and future direction of our CSR activities," said Nobuhide Hara, Senior Vice President at Oki Electric, who oversees the CSR Promotion Division. "The issuing of this report gives us an opportunity to strengthen mutual trust and enhance communications with various stakeholders. We will continue to implement sound corporate activities based on our Charter of Corporate Conduct and to work to improve corporate value."
The Oki Group Charter of Corporate Conduct was established on October 1, 2005 as the basis for the group to achieve CSR. Gaining trust from stakeholders -- including customers, shareholders and investors, employees, suppliers and the local communities -- is the basis to improve corporate value. Built on this understanding, Oki put together ten items outlining its fundamental philosophy toward social responsibility, which is rooted in its corporate mission. The report is presented in accordance with these 10 items to enable better understanding of Oki Group's CSR activities.
