Thomasville students receive $1.4 million in scholarships.

Jun. 1--THOMASVILLE -- Largely funded by individual and corporate donations, Thomasville City Schools announced recently that this year's graduating class at Thomasville High School had, to date,collected around $1.4 million in total scholarship money. The awards were announced at the annual Out of School Awards Program.

The Thomasville City Schools Education Foundation -- a nonprofit organization established in 2005 to help set up scholarships for needy students -- accounted for $30,000 of that fi gure, an amount that will be dispersed
