I have to agree with Hugh Bennett's comments in the May CD WINTER, "Dual-Layer or Double-Trouble?" [p. 48] on the acceptance of dual layer discs. Any so-called urgency to adopt either style of dual-layer technology at this point strikes me as mere greed on the part of huge corporations.
So it is not enough for them that the world adopted huge quantities of their DVD players in record time, and that only two or so years later, everyone had to buy even newer players to be able to view prosumer-authored DVD-R discs burned on SuperDrives?
Now they want us to dit
