HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 1995 - Burlington Resources Inc. (BR) announced today the election of Bobby S. Shackouls to its Board of Directors and to the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Shackouls will retain his current responsibilities as President and Chief Executive
Prior to Mr. Shackouls' election, Thomas H. O'Leary held the position of Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of BR. Mr. O'Leary will continue as BR's Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Shackouls holds a BS degree in chemical engineering from Mississippi State University. He and his family reside in Houston.
