Quickturn appoints director; Joan Powell appointed asdirector of marketing communications.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 1997--Quickturn Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:QKTN) today announced the appointment of Joan Powell to the position of director, marketing communications reporting to the vice president of marketing.

In this position, Powell will be responsible

for directing all marketing communications activities for the company, including public relations and advertising. Prior to joining Quickturn, Powell served as director of corporate communications for Consilium, Inc. and Litton Industries. She has held various management positions in the software, electronics and aerospace industries.
