Mr. Tobias is a financial expert, an award-winning, best-selling author and a prominent community leader. He currently serves as Treasurer of the Democratic National Committee, the first openly gay officer of either major political party.

A 1968 graduate of Harvard University, Andrew Tobias, 52, has recently launched his own personal finance Internet presence, www.personalfund.com, which has won praise from several quarters. Tobias is the author of 12 books, including "The Only Investment Guide You'll Ever Need" and, most recently, "My Vast Fortune: The Money Adventures of a Quixotic Capitalist". His 1973 memoir, "The Best Little Boy in the World," has become a gay coming-of age classic, recently added to the Modern Library Series. He has contributed extensively over the years to such magazines as New York, Esquire, Time, Parade and Worth. His pioneering software, Managing Your Money, helped hundreds of thousands of people take control of their finances. Tobias has received the Gerald Loeb Award for Distinguished Business and Financial Journalism, Harvard Magazine's Smith-Weld Prize, and the Consumer Federation of America Media Service Award.
