Electronic Sensor Technology Appoints Matthew S. Collier to Board of Directors.

NEWBURY PARK, Calif. -- Electronic Sensor Technology, Inc. (OTCOB:ESNR), a leading provider of innovative Homeland Security systems, announced today that it has appointed Matthew S. Collier to the EST Board of Directors. The appointment increases the company's board membership to six. Mr.

Collier was recently appointed EST's President and CEO.

Frey, Chairman of Electronic Sensor Technology.

Mr. Collier previously served as President of SAFER Systems, a privately-held-company which manufactures emergency response software for international government applications as well as for the global chemical and transportation industries.

Accepting the directorship, Mr. Collier commented, "I am honored and excited to be a member of the EST Board of Directors. I believe that zNose(R), a product of Electronic Sensor Technology, will play a very important role in helping to secure our country through its unique ability to provide comprehensive, accurate real time analysis of any chemical vapor with part-per-trillion sensitivity."

Prior to his stint as President of SAFER Systems, Mr. Collier served as Vice President of Engineering for Sensors, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of highly sensitive emissions measurement sensors into the world-wide automotive test and maintenance market.

"His vast experience in the manufacturing and world-wide marketing of sensor products will help EST immensely," added Mr. Frey, EST Chairman.

Mr. Collier holds degrees from the United States Military Academy at West Point and Harvard University. After directing a U.S. Congressional office for two years as Chief of Staff, Mr. Collier served as Mayor of Flint, Michigan from 1987 to 1991.
