The Daily Oklahoman announced it hired former editor of Alabama's Mobile Register, Stan Tiner, to be executive editor. Miami Herald executive editor Douglas C. Clifton became editor of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. News anchor Tracy Rowlett moved from WFAA in Dallas, TX, to KTVT, the Dallas CBS affiliate. USA Today announced it will sell advertising on page one. Former NBC morning television host Bryant Gumbel will host a CBS weekday morning television program.
