Zenner, president

Zenner has spent his entire career at Roche, having joined the company in 1969 as a sales representative. He held a series of marketing and business development posts that culminated in his being named vice president and general manager of Roche Laboratories in 1982.
Zenner was elected to the company's board of directors and appointed senior vice president of the pharmaceutical division in 1988. He was named president and CEO in 1993. Zenner holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Creighton University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He serves on a number of boards including the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), Hollings Cancer Center, and the Foundation of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
CHI is an organization for those in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries, as well as public and private research institutions to come together to advance responsible public policies.
By working closely with policy makers in Sacramento and Washington D.C., CHI's 95 members work to improve the environment for scientific discovery and the development of beneficial new medical technologies.
