LAKEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 7, 1997--BE&K Inc. announced today that it will merge its subsidiary, BE&K Environmental Co., with Terranext Inc., an environmental services firm based in Denver.
The company will be known as BE&K/Terranext, LLC.

John F. Spisak has been named chief executive officer of BE&K/Terranext. He was formerly chief executive officer and president of Terranext Inc. Carlos Murawczyk, formerly president of BE&K Environmental Co., has been named president of the new firm.
Spisak said the new company will combine BE&K Environmental Co.'s experience in the process industries, including chemicals, oil & gas, steel and pulp & paper with Terranext Inc.'s extensive experience in rail transportation, waste disposal, and petroleum industries. Exceptional capabilities in air, wastewater and solid waste reside in the new firm. Terranext Inc. has participated in the remediation of more than 100 super fund sites and several thousand waste projects.
With BE&K Inc., BE&K/Terranext can now offer clients full turnkey services from assessments, permitting through design, construction and operation. BE&K is one of the nation's largest industrial engineering, construction, maintenance and environmental firms and is headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., with offices throughout the United States.
