Kraft Foods Names Polk to Head Post CerealsBusiness.

NORTHFIELD, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1998--Kraft Foods, the nation's largest packaged goods company, announced today that Michael Polk, 37, has been named Executive Vice President and General Manager Post Cereals, reporting to Ann Fudge, President, Maxwell House & Post Division. In

his new assignment, Polk will be a member of Kraft's Operating Committee. He succeeds Tim Callahan, 38, who has resigned from the company.

Polk had been Vice President, Category Sales Management and Strategy for the company's Sales & Customer Service organization. "Mike's proven marketing expertise will enable him to build upon the Post team's remarkable record of innovation and success," said Fudge.

Polk joined the company in 1987 in the Maxwell House Division and has held positions of increasing responsibility including Category Business Director for the Maxwell House and beverages businesses. Prior to his Sales experience, Polk spent nine years in brand management.

Polk has a B.S. degree in Engineering from Cornell University in New York and an MBA from Harvard University. Kraft Foods is the multinational food business of Philip Morris Companies Inc.
