Joe A. Hastey Named Chief Executive Officer of ARCADISGeraghty & Miller.

Joe A. Hastey has been named the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for ARCADIS Geraghty & Miller, effective July 1, 1999.

Hastey's appointment follows on the heels of the promotion of Steven B. Blake, ARCADIS Geraghty & Miller's current

CEO, to the Executive Board of ARCADIS NV, the Netherlands-based parent company. ARCADIS Geraghty & Miller is the U.S.-based operations arm of ARCADIS NV, a multi-national engineering company specializing in consulting and implementation services for environment, infrastructure, and construction engineering.

Hastey has been with the organization since 1972. Currently, he serves as Chief Operating Officer for the firm, with overall responsibility for seven regions within the U.S. Prior to that, Hastey held positions on the firm's operations board. He was COO and President for Piedmont Olsen Hensley, an infrastructure engineering firm acquired by ARCADIS Geraghty & Miller in 1996. Prior to joining Piedmont Olsen Hensley, Hastey was President and CEO of Hensley Schmidt, a transportation and general civil engineering firm.
