SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 2000

Convergent Technology Capital (CTC), a leading provider of investment banking services to information technology companies worldwide, announced it has opened an office in Portland, Ore., to be headed

by Thomas J. Sharp as managing director.

Sharp will lead CTC in providing its merger, acquisition and strategic investment services to technology companies in the Oregon and Southwest Washington markets.

Sharp joins the company with more than twenty years of executive management experience in business development, marketing and operations in the information technology sector. Previously, Sharp served as senior vice president of marketing and sales for E.Com International, a mobile computing and wireless e-commerce company (Beaverton, Ore.). Other positions held include vice president of operations, Virtual Data Systems (Albany, Ore.), vice president of marketing, Advanced Control Technology (Albany, Ore.) and manager of aerospace and defense industry systems, Texas Instruments (Beaverton, Ore.).

Sharp holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Dayton

in Ohio, where he also completed graduate work in business administration and marketing. Sharp is past president of the Aerospace Industry Association of Oregon (AIAO) and he currently serves on the board of directors of the Tigard-Tualatin School District in Oregon.
