Mr. Michael F. Holloran, President and CEO of Elgrande.com, Inc. (OTCBB:EGND), is pleased to announce that effective immediately Mr. Maldwyn Thomas has been appointed to the Advisory
Mr. Thomas has many years of hands on experience in the areas of foreign policy, international trade and market development. A former diplomat, he served in a variety of capacities including Minister, Economic and-Commercial, Consul General and Ambassador. Foreign postings have included Hamburg, Stockholm, Hong Kong, Moscow, Vienna, Tokyo, Paris, Duesseldorf and Jakarta. In addition to foreign postings, at various times Mr. Thomas had responsibility for managing trade relations with Europe, Latin America, Asia/Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. He also served as a Senior Advisor to the United Nations' International Trade Center, Geneva, Switzerland, with special responsibility for assisting developing countries in the management of their foreign trade services. Mr. Thomas was recently stationed in Brussels, Belgium, as Managing Director of the Pulp and Paper Information Center. He also acts on a consulting basis to the International Futures Program of the OECD, Paris, France.
A graduate of the University of British Columbia and the University of Oslo, Norway, Mr. Thomas is fluent in English, German, Norwegian and French. He also has knowledge of Swedish, Russian, Spanish, Japanese, Italian and Dutch.
Having lived for a number of years in the south of France, Mr. Thomas will have direct responsibility for the establishment of Elgrande's Gateway to France, likely to be located in the artisan rich region of Provence.
