FDA Approves PEG-INTRON(tm) for Treatment of Chronic Hepatitis C

Schering-Plough Corporation (NYSE:SGP) announces that the FDA has approved PEG-INTRON(tm) (peginterferon alfa-2b) Powder for Injection as once-weekly

monotherapy for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C in patients not previously treated with alpha interferon who have compensated liver disease and are at least 18 years of age.
