Former President of Ziff-Davis Publishing, Claude Sheer, Joins Newmediary Board of Directors.

Newmediary, Inc., which builds and manages online directory solutions for content and community sites, today announced that Claude Sheer, Principal at Barn Ventures and former President and Chief Internet

Strategist of Ziff-Davis Publishing, has joined the company's Board of Directors. Newmediary's Board of Directors works closely with the company's executive management team to set strategic direction and identify new market and business opportunities.

Sheer has more than 20 years of management experience in the print and Internet industry, pioneering new business strategies and market opportunities for leading technology and consumer publications.

He spent 18 years at Ziff-Davis and served as Chief Internet Strategist. In this role, Sheer was responsible for formulating the company's fundamental approach to today's Internet environment and orchestrating the company's endeavors in the next wave of Internet business development. Previously, he served as President of Ziff-Davis Publishing, where he was responsible for the content, positioning, marketing, and circulations with the publishers and editors of both domestic and international Ziff-Davis publications, including PC Week, Computer Shopper, and Inter@ctive Week.
