TheStreet.com Appoints James Lonergan President.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 23, 2002

TheStreet.com, Inc. (Nasdaq:TSCM), a leading multimedia provider of financial commentary, research, analysis and news, today announced that James Lonergan, the company's chief operating officer, has been named president

and chief operating officer.

Mr. Lonergan will assist in driving TheStreet.com's business strategy and continue to direct the Company's daily operations, overseeing all activities in several key operational areas, including sales and marketing, product development and technology. He will continue to report directly to Thomas J. Clarke Jr., TheStreet.com chairman and CEO.

Mr. Lonergan possesses nearly twenty years of experience in the financial sector, with a broad background in sales and marketing, operations, information systems and human resources. Before joining TheStreet.com in February 2001, Mr. Lonergan served as chief operating officer at Worldly Information Network, where he oversaw the company's daily operations and was responsible for the structuring of the Worldly Information division, including its more than 70 employees and offices in New York and San Francisco. Prior to Worldly Information Network, Mr. Lonergan served as executive vice president chief operating officer of an $80 million business unit within Thomson Financial. Additionally, he worked extensively in the investment management community in the investment-decision process and in senior sales, product and marketing roles at Alliance Capital Management and SunAmerica Asset Management.
