Norsat International Inc. (NASDAQ:NSAT) (TSX:NII.TO) a provider of microwave products and open satellite networks, announced today that its shareholders have elected three new directors:
New Board Members
Dr. John MacDonald
Dr. MacDonald has served previously on Norsat's Board from August 1998 to June 2001. He is a co-founder of MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates Ltd., and continues to provide management consulting services to technology companies around the world. He currently serves as a member of APEC Business Advisory Council, representing Canada and the Advisory Council to the Canadian Space Agency.
Mr. Gaetano Manti
Mr. Manti is an Italian entrepreneur with extensive international marketing experience. He has provided leadership and marketing consulting services for Italy's Cartier group, the New York Times Magazine division, and the multinational group AMF. Mr. Manti is currently President of an Italian group of companies operating in consumer magazines, real estate development, and other technology companies.
Mr. Troy Bullock
Mr. Bullock joined Norsat in July 2000, and was appointed Vice President of Corporate Services with responsibility for finance, accounting, administration, and MIS. He is a Chartered Accountant and was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of the Company in March 2002.
