SJI's Ruggiero To Lead Southern New Jersey Chamber.

FOLSOM, N.J. -- Albert Ruggiero, vice president of South Jersey Industries, the energy holding company for South Jersey Gas, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey. Ruggiero succeeds Dennis Flanagan, president of SML Associates. Flanagan

The Chamber is staffed by 13 professionals that support programs and services; and a strong volunteer Board of Directors comprised of 64 key diverse business leaders. "I am honored to follow Mr. Flanagan who served the chamber with distinction," said Ruggiero. "Our primary mission remains the same and that is to continue to play a leading role in making Southern New Jersey a great area for commerce and economic development."

Ruggiero is active in several business and community organizations including serving as Board Chairman of the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey and as former chair and Director Emeritus of the ARC of Atlantic County. In addition to his duties as VP of SJI, Ruggiero serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of South Jersey Gas and Vice President of Marina Energy a subsidiary of SJI that develops energy related projects. He and his wife Gail are residents of Ventnor City, New Jersey.
