Mr. Liu has been traveling in China for the past three weeks in a series of business meetings with manufacturing groups and research firms to explore full commercialization of the Oscillating Piston Engine (OPE) technology. He said that he visited six different companies in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Jinhua, Shenzen and Hong Kong and says there are business opportunities for Rotoblock wherever he went.
"The opportunity for Rotoblock in China is endless," said Mr. Liu. "Besides having a tremendous manufacturing infrastructure and capacity, the consumer markets are exploding. I see uses for Rotoblock technologies in automobiles, hybrid drive trains, generators, smaller vehicles and a host of other applications."
Mr. Liu noted that he received strong interest for the Oscillating Piston Technology, but also sees a multitude of small engine solutions that fit with Rotoblock's mission to be a leader in next generation engine development. He said he received positive feedback for his business plans from the many companies and people he met with, which include manufacturers and developers of industrial equipment, automotive equipment, government contractors, construction companies and energy-related companies.
Mr. Liu agreed to join as Rotoblock CEO in October. He has over 15 years experience in international trade, marketing and manufacturing. He served for more than five years as a Vice President for China's Tianyi Group, a multi-billion dollar conglomerate involved in manufacturing of automotive components and commercial equipment with over 10 subsidiaries.
