Phoenix Promotes Moskey to Vice President and Treasurer.

HARTFORD, Conn. -- The Phoenix Companies, Inc. (NYSE:PNX) today announced the promotion of Daniel J. Moskey, CFA, to vice president and treasurer, effective September 6. He will report to Michael E. Haylon, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

In this position, Mr. Moskey

will be responsible for managing banking relationships and will be actively involved in financing activities, capital market transactions, capital management, pension funding issues and cash management.

Most recently Mr. Moskey, 42, was second vice president, Investments. He has been with Phoenix for 15 years, including in product development and management and as managing director of credit research in Investments. Prior to Phoenix, he worked in operations and marketing for Advest, Inc. Mr. Moskey received an undergraduate degree in music production and engineering from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
