Former Lands' End Chief Named CEO of Struggling Tommy Hilfiger.

Aug. 5--Tommy Hilfiger, famous for landing his red white and blue clothes on country club greens and urban black tops, tapped ex-Lands' End chief David Dyer as the new CEO of his struggling company.

Dyer, 53, is best known for doubling profits at Lands' End before selling the company to Sears for $1.9 billion last year. Before that, he consulted for J. Crew and worked 17 years at Federated's Florida chain, Burdines.
