Numerous stabilization system techniques can be utilized to minimize the degradation and discoloration damage to polyurethanes caused by exposure to UV and thermal light conditions. Hindered phenols, hindered amines and UV light absorbers all present effective means of maintaining the integrity of glycol, MDI and urethane polymer subunits. The hindered amine technique, used in conjunction with the UV absorber, proves to be the most effective means of ensuring minimum discoloration.
