MADISON, Wis. -- SIMTEC Silicone Parts, a custom manufacturer of Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) parts and components for the medical device, consumer goods, industrial, and automotive industries, announces a technological breakthrough in the serial production of Two-Shot components. SIMTEC has acquired specialized production units from Europe for Two-Shot injection molding of LSR and their engineering team has carried out a customized system integration to enable fully automated 24 hour operation at its facilities in Madison. These units are the first of their kind in the world. This processing technology enables SIMTEC to provide clients with high quality continuous serial production of integrated components which has not been available in the U.S. until now.
The technology is optimal for a wide variety of applications from components used in medical devices, cosmetics, and automotive parts to food packaging and food contact applications. SIMTEC has perfected the process enabling the integration of several parts into a single component thereby reducing assembly costs and eliminating quality problems. Costs are immediately reduced as only one component requires validation rather than validating multiple parts, materials, production units, and vendors.

Some of the Two-Shot components SIMTEC manufactures will be exported to France, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Japan, China, and Canada.
