PETROCHINA Company Ltd. will build three massive polypropylene plants in China. The company has selected Tecnimont SpA as the engineering contractor at all three sites, which will use Basell's Spheripol technology. Polypropylene plants in Daqing and Lanzhou will both have capacities of 300,000 metric tons per year, and a facility in Dalian will have a nameplate of 200,000 metric tons.
