BDO project kicks off in Shaanxi.(PROJECT NEWS)(4-butanediol, Shaanxi Chemical Industry...

At the end of 2006, Shaanxi Chemical Industry Company Ltd., a subsidiary of Shaanxi Coal Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., started to construct the 30 000 t/a 1, 4-butanediol (BDO) project. It is scheduled for startup in June 2008.

BDO is extensively used in chemical, pharmaceutical, engineering plastics, textile and organic material sectors. Shaanxi Chemical Industry Company Ltd. makes use of methanol, hydrogen and so on as the raw materials to man
