PriceSmart Inc. (Nasdaq: PSMT) (www.pricesmart.com) opened a membership-shopping warehouse in St. Thomas on May 4, its first in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Opening sales and pre-opening enrollments were very strong with over 10,000 membership accounts and 13,000 member cr cardholders, representing 20% of the total Island population. The company also said that it has acquired the rights for a second warehouse location in Port of Spain, the largest market in Trinidad. .
