GRENADA CO. WANTS TO SET UP A CALL CENTER.

A Grenadian company is to establish call centers here, reports CANA (May 10, 2001). Call Centres Grenada, which plans to establish a local entity in both of the islands of the federation by August this year, wrapped up two days of negotiations with the St. Kitts Government and the Nevis Island Administration (NIA). Director of Planning and Development at Call Centres Grenada, Dennis Campbell said that the new investment could provide over 600 jobs, with at least 230 of them being in Nevis. Call Centres Grenada, in which the Government of Grenada has a 40% share, employs about 800 persons there. The company is also said to be talking with the St. Vincent & the Grenadines Government in the hope of setting up similar operations.
