REGISTERING A FIRM IN HAITI.

A U.S. firm may register themselves as a foreign firm in Haiti at any Haitian Consulate in the U.S. by using one of the two methods: (1) Submit a certified copy of your bylaws to the nearest Haitian Consulate, asking them to register your company as a foreign firm in Haiti; (2) Have your articles

of incorporation notarized at a notary public and sent to the U.S. Department of State for permission to operate overseas. This document can then be forwarded to the nearest Haitian consulate for registration. Whichever solution you choose, you will need a Haitian attorney to register your U.S. firm in Haiti. When your bylaws arrive in Haiti, they will have to be translated by an authorized translator, notarized by a Haitian notary public, and sent to the Haitian Ministry of Commerce to get an official authorization to operate.
