USED CAR PARTS MARKET BOOMING.

Barbados is open to the import of remanufactured, rebuilt and used motor vehicle parts, reports the American Embassy in Barbados. Auto imports, particularly of reconditioned Japanese cars, have been soaring and with this has come a booming market in used parts. Companies should be aware that

in Barbados cars and trucks are right-hand-drive, and the vast majority of vehicles on the road are Japanese manufactured. All motor vehicles parts imported into Barbados are subject to a 30% import duty, a 1% environmental levy and a 15% value added tax
