It's a paradox of stress relief many of the people in need of stress relief have the least time to learn stress-relief techniques.

Sue Stebbins, the founder of Motivational Re-Source, said she hopes to break that cycle with a set of CDs designed to help people relax and overcome the "noise" of everyday life.

The Westport management consulting company recently announced the launch of "Releasing Overwhelm," the second in a series of three CDs meant to improve health by reducing stress.

Stebbins has 26 years experience as a consultant for companies like Revlon, GTE, Ocean Spray and Sheraton Hotels. Since founding the company in 1993, one of its main focuses has been on stress and stress alleviation, she said.

For most of her time in business, she said she has been concentrating on one-on-one sessions with clients. She said she has had about 1,000 patients over the last decade.

She said she prefers to work with her one-on-one clients on a short-term basis, trying to give them the tools to deal with stress without trying to create any radical change in their lives. "We focus on creating a desired outcome, we don't focus on the problem."
