Sixth Consecutive Sales Gain F. or A. Heinen, As Exports Account for 60% of Y2K Turnover.

Having reported continuous double digit sales growth rates since 1996, industrial freezing equipment specialist A. Heinen AG Anlagenbau (Fax: 49-4451 122-122) racked up another gain of 10% last year. "We anticipate doing it yet again in 2001," said Michael Hase, export manager.

Noting

that a big order was landed from a frozen vegetable processor toward the end of last year, Hase figures demand from that sector will continue as factories upgrade and modernize their facilities. While the red meat segment is slow at the moment, the chicken and bakery branches are booming.

Exports account for 60% of the Varel, Germany-based firm's revenues, with most shipments historically going to European countries. Last year, however, a good deal of business was transacted farther afield -- in countries including the USA, Turkey, Indonesia and Brazil.

Heinen's customer base is now poised to expand even more geographically, thanks to a cooperative marketing agreement with Stork Titan, the Holland-headquartered diversified food processing and packaging equipment outfit.
