The data game
Bureau van Dijk (BvD), the publisher of company information, has added fundamental and business intelligence data on 10,000 US companies to its OSIRIS product. This data has been provided by Multex,
Multex is providing BvD with detailed annual and quarterly financial information on these companies. The data will be in both "as reported" and standardised formats to allow the full integration with the other information in OSIRIS, which was launched in 2001 and which contains information on close to 30,000 companies.
Stephen Schwartz, Vice President of Business Development at Multex, comments: "Bureau van Dijk is a valuable partner for distributing Multex fundamentals. Through BvD and its OSIRIS product, Multex's widely used and trusted financial information will reach a new global audience through a flexible, user-friendly public company research tool."
As with all information on OSIRIS, the latest data will also be incorporated on ORBIS, BvD's global information product, which contains information on 10 million companies worldwide.
