I agree with you. Online branding is very important; but surely not easy to manage. There are hundreds of different ways, but choosing the good ways is often difficult. I think you have outlined here the ways that we should look at first. I would be pleased (and I think other would also be glad) to have a second '5 ways' to go further in our branding. Thanks for your relevant posting. Frequentia ------------------- http://frequentia.net ...

5 Ways to Build Your Online Brand
These suggestions are almost identical to those in a past issue of Gotvmail's newsletter (my advanced 1800 provider): http://gotvmail.com/newsletter/11-2007/how-to.html In any case, I agree that blogs are an excellent way to improve exposure but are only part of the equation. There's also social networking sites like Linked In, not to mention popular forums of relevance (forums generally discourage advertisement but will allow company links in your signature). But blogs are definitely helpful; indexes love them, and getting a good link exchange going with affiliates and friends is an excellent way to bootstrap any Web 2.0 marketing scheme.

Blogger Outreach: How to Drive More Traffic
I take this opportunity to say few words in response to Wakemen's blog that just writing for general discussion may be good for those who want to pass some time promoting their simple comments, but for technical discussion it has to be a serious and exchange of views session. I feel lot of things to discuss with experts and field personals to discuss my chemistry related development, but always i find people discussing in non technical areas. My suggestion is that their should be a forum or panel of experts discussing technical topics rather than simple blog where people are posting their views . It is just wasting of time... Thanks.

Social marketing is one of the hottest things on the market today. It is amazing how many successful businesses only have shops online. The company I work for is exactly like this. We focus on leadership development . and other business training.

HTML: Every Online Business Person Should Know a Little
I am involved in digital media design and podcasting. Thanks for introducing me to a new resource. I have recently come across a new video business directory that is free. It is www.MeetMyBiz.tv The site has just recently launched. I am among the first to join this directory. It seems to be fairly comprehensive for the everyday business owner. Since the site holds video & audio, I'm sure businesses that have podcasts would be able to use their audio on the site for advertising as well. I am hoping it will be a good networking opportunity that will mesh connecting with other business people and growing my business.

MySpace: An Effective Internet Marketing Tool?
Yeah, MySpace can really be used for all of those things - sales, expansion, awareness, etc. It all comes down to targeting and creating effective messages... not spamming. If any businesses are interested in keeping up with this fast-paced, yet rewarding medium, I maintain a blog and forum on MySpace marketing here: http://www.nickjag.com/ Hope to see you around! --------- So what do you think of MySpace as a serious venue for marketing your products and services? Is it another way to expand your profile? Create more awareness? Do you have a profile? Let me know what you think, if you're using MySpace and how it's working for you.

MySpace: An Effective Internet Marketing Tool?
Great article however my skills with setting all this up are limited so I went and found a service that let me do it. It took a while to find as they are not as popular as I thought. One I found wanted to charge per feed and then I found RSS Response who offered one free campaign. http://www.www.rssresponse.com I have just finished setting up my RSS course on photoshop at http://msiphotoshop.com/rss-reader/ Quentin ...

Creating an RSS Autoresponder
Emotion Creates Motion! I think the actual quote comes from the movie ?Boiler Room? where Ben Affleck is motivating his salesteam. ?So get on the phones, it's time to get to work. Get off your ass! Move around. Motion creates emotion!? As far as blogging goes I think the saying works better in reverse. Emotion Creates Motion! The emotion that people use in their blogs can be veritable gold. Real words, used by real people conjuring emotion and responses offering up unique content creates motion or flow. This flow of indexed content found in organic searches is valuable stuff. Unique and emotionally charged traffic can be awesome if it increases viewer-ship and primes the engines for the addition of new bloggers to a site. Every word of every blog can be valuable. As far as offensive bloggers and content: One way to deal with these individuals would be to cut some of the offensive content and warn the offender. Non constructive insults targeted at religion, sexual preference and heritage should be monitored. There are limits but for the most part blogs provide an opportunity for exponential growth. Hi Bobby, To get your website up in rankings in search engines is a combination of process including adding the right meta tags, having the right content online , linking to pages etc. There is no one single method to lift the rankings on your website. Websites send crawlers out to websites to gather information and update their databases - this happens every 2 - 6 weeks.
