Tony Wilkins is Owner and CEO of Telemarketing Consulting Services in San Francisco. He began his career selling radio air time for Apac Corporation in Chicago at age 16, and was quickly promoted to the position of Department Manager. Over the years Mr. Wilkins has worked for various companies as a telemarketer or Telemarketing Manager before opening Telecorp Telemarketing at age 22, which he operated for seven years. Over the next several years, the firm’s name was changed to TCS (Telemarketing Consulting Services) and now offers consulting, business development, promotion and cold calling programs for growing firms.
Mr. Wilkins works with a variety of firms including, Farmers Insurance, One Stop Graphics and Northwestern Mutual Life. "I work mostly with small and mid-sized firms because I see a huge need for telemarketing services for a market that no one wants to cater to. The larger firms don’t always see the future potential for revenue in a growing firm, which I think is a mistake. My firm has survived strictly on the bases of delivering information, education and services to an audience making up a larger part of the business community."
Mr. Wilkins is also the founder of Something to Share Business Resource Group, a target marketing and networking forum dedicated to offering information and resources to growing firms. In addition, he is the author of Telemarketing Success for Small and Mid-sized Firms which is available in the US and Europe.
