Mike Stevens

Mike Stevens began his writing career at the age of fifteen as a columnist for his home town newspaper, the Vallejo Times-Herald. Since then, he has worked as a technical writer, OSHA administrator, school teacher, advertising executive, marketing consultant and journalist. His first company, Creative i, grew from zero to $6 million in annual revenues over seven years, and was the fastest growing business in Silicon Valley two years running. He has written extensively on information technology and its impact on business processes.

In recent years, Stevens has become increasingly concerned about the decline of American manufacturing, and is now devoting his energy to the problems of competition in the global economy.

Stevens is an alumnus of both Stanford and the University of California at Berkeley, where he graduated with a major in English.
