Jake Widman
Jake Widman writes about technology of all sorts from his office in San Francisco. He started covering desktop publishing (remember "desktop publishing"?) at Publish magazine, where he eventually held the position of editor in chief for several years. He also held the position of features editor at MacAddict (now called MacLife) magazine. Both magazines won awards for articles Jake conceived, edited, and packaged.
As a freelance writer and editor, Jake has contributed to publications and websites ranging from California Lawyer to The Industry Standard to Computerworld.com, where his work continues to win awards for business journalism. Special areas of interest include digital printing and graphic arts (still), Apple and Mac-related products, consumer technology and gadgets, and cloud and collaboration services.
Jake contributes regularly to The Big Picture magazine, CMO.com, AllBusiness.com (for whom he wrote the very first articles on choosing ISPs and Web hosts), InformationWeek.com, The BrainYard, and Computerworld.com, and writes the Design Makeover column for Photoshop User magazine.
