Fredric Paul

Fredric Paul is an award-winning journalist, editor, publisher, and Web business consultant.
He's been covering business and technology for longer than he cares to admit, starting at PC Magazine at the dawn of the PC age, and including senior-level stints at PC World, PC/Computing, High Technology Business, Electronic Entertainment, and CNET.
During the dot.com boom he was the founding editor of the first incarnation of AllBusiness.com, starting with nothing but a Princess phone in a corner of a conference room and building a staff of dozens of editors and executive producers in just 12 months before helping to sell the business to a unit of NBC for $225 million – in soon to be worthless stock, unfortunately.
Paul was also the founding publisher/editor-in-chief of bMighty.com (now known as InformationWeek SMB) which covers technology for small and midsize companies, the founding editor of EnterpriseEfficiency.com, and editor-in-chief of TechWeb.com.
He's also been a contributing editor to the MIT Sloan Management Review and consulted for companies ranging from dot.com startups to global banks.
Over the years, Paul has interviewed tech and corporate leaders like Bill Gates as well as pop-culture icons like Peter Gabriel, Tia Carrera, and Roger McGuinn. He's shared conference stages with Douglas Adams and Todd Rundgren (don't ask), appeared on ABC News, and has been quoted everywhere from USA Today to GQ.
But his primary goal has always been to help businesses -- especially small businesses -- leverage technology to achieve competitive advantage and business success.
