corporate communications

department in a corporation whose primary concern is to produce communication vehicles that promote understanding of and good public relations for the corporation. The corporate communications department is typically responsible for production of the annual report, promotional brochures, and employee communications. Often a public relations or marketing firm will offer corporate communications services for the benefit of those smaller companies that do not have such a department or for those companies that need to supplement their corporate communications departments.
