Transamerica offers guarantee to boost 401(k) biz; Believes it can improve 401(k) plan...

CHICAGO - Borrowing a pitch more common to TV infomercials, Transamerica Retirement Services has launched a first-of-its-kind guarantee to increase 401(k) plan participation for new plan sponsor clients.

With the Plus 15 Participation Guarantee, Transamerica guarantees a 15% increase in plan participation or it waives the record- keeping fees for the first quarter, up to a maximum of $5,000.

But like most guarantees, there's a catch - or in this case, there are some requirements.
