I READ with dismay the joint ASIC [Australian Securities and Investments Commission] and FPA [Financial Planning Association] publication Getting Advice: A practical guide to personal financial advice.

There is no mention of insurance, the cornerstone of any financial plan!

We will all need at some stage in our wealth creation lives financial planning advice, but how will our lifestyle, families and business fare if protection advice is not part of the planning?
