Banks are back, but is that good?(Real Estate)

Banks have entered the commercial real estate market again after nearly a decade of avoiding the problems of the market. Most banks which are involved in the market have concentrated on apartment and warehouse construction loans rather than for commercial office space construction loans or real estate investment trust acquisition loans. The profits on construction loans are narrowing, which has scared some analysts who see further competition entering the market. Limiting loan growth to economic growth is the most prudent step a bank can take at this time.
