SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 2004
SunGard Online Investment Systems, an operating group of SunGard (NYSE: SDS), announced today that J.J.B. Hilliard, W.L. Lyons, Inc., a member of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC), has selected SunGard
SunGard WealthStation is a comprehensive, Web-based wealth management workstation designed to provide advisors with the tools they need to aggregate, allocate, optimize and monitor their clients' portfolios. Slated to go live in mid-August 2004, WealthStation will help Hilliard Lyons' financial consultants to more efficiently manage the diverse assets of their clients. Financial Consultants at PNC Investments will also use the system, providing a single platform to meet the needs of both business units.
"We are very excited about the advanced capabilities and integrated nature of SunGard WealthStation, and are confident it will help improve efficiency and our overall level of service," commented John Deglow, Director of Wealth Strategies at Hilliard Lyons. "SunGard's asset allocation and modeling engines have long been considered among the best in the industry, and the new system fully integrated with our back-office."
John Hyde, group chief executive officer of SunGard Online Investment Systems, added, "WealthStation was designed from the ground up, not only to take advantage of the latest technologies and development standards, but to move away from the patch-work style of integration that characterized many first generation workstations. As a result, WealthStation is well positioned to provide the continual monitoring capabilities that are needed to effectively manage diverse portfolios on an ongoing basis. As the industry shifts to a fee-based model, this capability offers a significant advantage."
With integrated collaboration, workflow, monitoring and report generation tools, SunGard WealthStation was designed to help financial advisors work more efficiently, to improve their level of service and strengthen their role as a trusted advisor. Among its many advanced features, WealthStation offers an intelligent "watch-dog" monitoring system that alerts advisors to changes in their clients' portfolios, such as those that are out-of-balance as a result of market changes, as well as event-driven alerts such as a bond maturing or options vesting. Through its comprehensive Advisor Dashboard, it also includes client prioritization tools, which use SunGard's Synapse rules-based engine to determine client priorities and actions to be taken, allowing advisors to focus their time on addressing the most important issues.
