NEW YORK -- Tomorrow, The Hollywood Reporter will launch The Hollywood Reporter: Premier Edition, a new day and date edition of the publication with daily morning delivery

to subscribers in New York and key cities across the East Coast. As a result of this move to regional printing, the Premier Edition will also be available on newsstands throughout Manhattan each morning from Monday through Friday.

"The launch of the Premiere Edition is a true springboard in our ongoing efforts to create a new Hollywood Reporter, one that is a more tactile publication with a distinct voice that best meets the needs of the industries we serve," said Elizabeth Guider, Editor of The Hollywood Reporter. "The Premiere Edition also brings a new level of relevancy to The Reporter while helping strengthen our position as the leading national source of news, analysis and data on the global entertainment industry across all platforms. This is truly one of the most exciting times at The Reporter in its 78-year history."

"This is the beginning of a new day at The Hollywood Reporter and a preview of more exciting initiatives to come," said Eric Mika, Senior Vice President, Publishing Director, The Hollywood Reporter. "Backed by new editorial, publishing and management teams, the launch of the Premier Edition is another important step in becoming an even greater resource to the communities we serve across the globe. The Hollywood Reporter: Premier Edition will offer expanded day and date coverage of the New York and East Coast entertainment markets with a focus on news, analysis and data covering key segments of the entertainment business in these regions, from Wall Street to Madison Avenue. It will also continue to provide all of the breaking industry news from Hollywood and around the world.

As part of the inaugural publication, the Premier Edition will feature an in-depth look at private equity in the entertainment industry. Led by Business Editor and New York Bureau Chief George Szalai, the first of this two-part special report examines how film financing could be affected in the wake of several disappointing box-office investments by hedge funds and private equity firms.

The Reporter has also expanded its editorial staff to further support the national Premier Edition and its readers on the East Coast. This includes the recent appointment of Todd Cunningham as National Editor, who will oversee the daily production and editorial direction of the Premier Edition. Cunningham joined The Reporter from the LA Business Journal, where he served as assistant managing editor. He also spent seven years at Variety, where he helped launch that paper's Gotham edition as managing editor.

Steven Zeitchik has joined The Reporter's New York-based editorial staff as Senior Writer, where he will provide news analysis and features for the Premier Edition as well as establish a new blog on hollywoodreporter.com about the New York entertainment scene. Zeitchik has written about film, television, marketing and media for Variety for four years and before that, for Publishers Weekly.

The Reporter continues to demonstrate leadership and innovation in being the source for entertainment industry news and analysis on a global basis. The expansion to regional printing follows the recent launch of The Hollywood Reporter, Digital Edition, an online electronic replica of the daily magazine available in 12 languages, an expanded international editorial staff and key executive leadership appointments.
