Comcast's Bid for Disney Sends Colorado Media Companies Scrambling to Survive.

Feb. 15--Comcast Corp.'s hostile bid for the Walt Disney Co. last week has swept two of Colorado's largest companies into a looming battle of media titans.

Liberty Media, which owns interests in multiple cable channels and foreign cable systems, and EchoStar Communications, the nation's second-largest satellite television provider, must forge strong alliances with others or risk becoming sidelined, analysts warned.
