Aug. 9--ARI Network Services Inc., a Milwaukee electronic-commerce catalog company, said Friday that it had repurchased more than 1 million shares of stock and adopted a plan that would allow shareholders to block a takeover.
The company repurchased common stock, warrants and preferred stock from Witech Corp., ARI's largest shareholder. The repurchase removes $3.5 million in preferred stock and reduces the number of common shares outstanding by 15 percent, ARI said.
