Depleted Natural Gas Supplies Push Prices to Six-Month Highs.

Dec. 6--Depleted supplies of natural gas pushed the price of the commodity up 10 percent Thursday, to its highest level since June.

At that time, experts around the country, predicted volatile winter heating season prices due to low supplies in storage.

Those fears abated somewhat during the cooler-than expected summer, which saved gas that would have been used to create electricity for air conditioners and fans.
