Sacramento, Calif.-Based Music Retailer Files to Suspend SEC Disclosures.

Oct. 29--As its debt crisis appears to be nearing a crescendo, Tower Records' finances are disappearing from public view.

The troubled music retailer from West Sacramento said Tuesday it will no longer make financial disclosures to the Securities and Exchange Commission, as it has the past five years.

In a filing with the SEC, it cited a securities rule which says a company no longer has to make disclosures if the number of securities holders falls below 300. Tower
