NEW YORK -- Real-Time Innovations (RTI), The Real-Time Middleware Experts, announced today that PIMCO, one of the world's leading fixed-income managers, has selected RTI's high-performance messaging middleware to expand the functionality and enhance the scalability of PIMCO's compliance-checking software.

RTI middleware supports many mission-critical applications with real-time data-distribution requirements. Choosing RTI gives PIMCO access to leading-edge, standards-based middleware technology and allows PIMCO to rapidly integrate and deploy solutions at a fraction of the cost of internally developed code.

"PIMCO will deploy the RTI technology in its proprietary Pre-Trade Compliance System used to enforce and monitor regulatory and client-imposed investment restrictions," said Yanay Lehavi, senior vice president of Technology at PIMCO. "The RTI middleware will route messages among components of this distributed, parallel system, where thousands of calculations and data points are combined to produce answers for traders."
